NORC research scientist Yoku Shaw Taylor is the co-editor of a volume, just published by Rowman & Littlefied, entitled "The Other African Americans: Contemporary African and Caribbean Immigrants in the US."  The book seeks to broaden our understanding of these groups by exploring the changing intraracial dynamics among African Americans as new immigrants settle in the US and become Americans.
