Scheuren to Present at Human Rights International Conference

NORC Senior Fellow Fritz Scheuren will present findings from his book, "Statistical Methods for Human Rights" (Springer, 2007)to an international meeting of scholars organized to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.


The conference, entitled, International Meeting “Social Cohesion and Social Well-Being: Inclusion and Dialogue from a Human Rights Perspective," will take place in Quito, Ecuador on April 28 -29, 2008.


Conference sponsors include:

  • UNESCO Chair in Education for Peace, Human Rights and Democracy of Utrecht University (The Netherlands )

  • United Nations Development Program (UNDP)

The meeting will gather together top scholars from the Americas and Europe, and its objective is to contribute to the academic and political dialogue on social cohesion and social well-being. It will be the first of its kind to include a perspective on human rights.
